My husband was out of work for almost 2 years. He started back to work last year. We did get help once for Washington Mutual and they re-did our Equity Line of Credit. The only problem was the first payment was so big that we could not pay the whole thing. This is where we fell behind. I called WAMU to ask for help a few times but no avail. My husband has got a better paying job about 3 months ago. He is making about $6.00 more an hour. I am aggressively looking for a weekend job. I am a sales person and I know that with the holidays coming up it is not going to be a problem. The money I will earn will go only to my mortgages. I will understand if you can't help me all I need is a couple of months to catch up with the Equity line of credit. My mortgage payment is up to date. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciate. If you can't help please let me know what to expect. We have renters and I want to give them ample time to move. Hope this helps as many as it has helped my family, We got denied a modification from Washington Mutual , so we contacted a company called HOPE in south florida, which is a non-profit organization that assisted us through the whole process untill our loan modification was complete, great company and service, they charge nothing to assist you, they were able to assist in lowering our mortgage balance , our monthly payment and our interest rate down to 4.2%, it took about 6 weeks to complete everything. I called 877-968-5337 and got great service hope all goes well with your situation as mine did. good luck
