I was sold a property that was supposed to be repaired by the mortgage company. They failed to do so and as a result, I had to pay for major repairs and could not get a loan to do so. As a result, I had to pay for these out of pocket. The City of Milwaukee threatened jail and I had to pay to have violations that were there prior to me moving in. I have had to pay out of pocket and it was just not enough money to cover everything. Since then, I filed bankruptcy but decided not to include the house. I now have the property repaired and I have a tenant to pay a portion of the rent now. I am in a much better financial situation.
