Default Loan Modification Help

I lost my job. I got a new job but making almost 10K a year less. I was having auto debits coming from my credit union to pay my mortgage and for some reason they stopped coming out. I did not realize this as I was out of town. I fell behind 4 months and that's when I got the notice. The reinstatement figures from the lawyer have me owing around 7K because of the fees. I need to break this up into some sort of payment plan if possible. I have lived in this house for 5 years and never had a problem paying my mortgage. I would hate to lose this house.

I am in the process of looking for a second job. Also, I can cash out my pension from my previous job. That will give me around 2K to pay outright. I can also pay around 2k out of my checking account at the moment.

Default Loan Modification Help

I have fallen behind in my payments due to my husbands terminal illness. I am 3 payments behind including this month and tried to pay but they will not accept just one payment. I want to keep my home and would like to lower my payments or refinance. Is there any info you can give me.
