I was one of those that got caught up in the refinance madness. Once I realized I had an adjustable and it was increasing I contacted the lender to get me a fixed rate loan immediately. Unfortunately the payments on this and my second are more than I can handle each month and I have now drained my savings to stay afloat and have been living off my credit cards which are now maxed out. I applied for another refi recently because I knew I had equity in the property and wanted to pay off the credit cards to be able to make the payments but this company has been dragging their feet and making me loan offers I can\'t afford. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place now and need to get control of this situation if possible. Again I do have equity and would like to tap into it to clear these debts but it seems loans are impossible to get due to the circumstances of the market.
