Call your lender and explain to them. They can give you an extension. It happens every day dude, hang in there. just get on the fone and explain your deal to them.

The advice about contacting the lender is good advice, although you are mistaken about extensions. That will rarely ever happen although give it a try. Typically the best you are going to do is a repayment plan. Once and if you go into foreclosure they can possibly spoof payments if there is an upside to potentially getting back on track.

sell...even if there's barely any equity. Sell and move to something more affordabel until she finds a job. Or tell her to take any job necessary to meet the morgage...ie cashier position at a local retailer.

Um-is she looking for a new job? Tell her to take whatever she can get, til something better comes! You could work two jobs for awhile. Sell, or file bankruptcy. Borrow from family or friends. Best of luck!

start selling what you can live without!!! cut the cable, phone, etc. have you lived there for 5 years or is the house 5 years old? if you're paying on an interest only mortgage (that happens to a lot of people) then i can see why u wouldnt have equity. does anyone owe u money?? i would start collecting for sure. i'm truely sorry for you, that's a real drag. hope everything works in your favor! good luck!
