Default Loan Modification - Less than 1 year

Did you know:

Mortgage companies do not modify loans that are less than 1 year old. It does not start the clock over again if a loan is sold but they require 1 year that is the rule although I am sure there could be an exception. I have gotten Option One and AMC (Ameriquest) allow a homeowner that was under 1 year to begin regular payments until they hit the 12 months then modify the loan.
