We were going thru a modification with BoA when SLS bought our loan. I talked with SLS today and gave them all of our information to continue our mod. Apparently at the time BoA had foreclosed and as of yesterday was running an ad to sell our house. Talked to SLS about it and they said they will not honor any previous sale dates set by previous companies. Asked us to make sure BoA contacted the attorney listing our house so it could be cancelled or contact the attorney themselves. I called the attorney and spoke with a really rude woman who said she knew our loan had been bought by a different company but was still going to sell the house unless told otherwise by SLS. Of course I will be calling SLS to get them to contact the lawyer but I just want to know what are our rights if the house is in fact sold? The lawyer was hired to represent Bank of America during the foreclosure. After SLS bought our loan we no longer have to deal with BoA. What do I need to do now?
