Hello,My hours were drastically cut at work and my wife is scheduled to have surgery in early January and will be out for over six months.We need to get rid of our house, Bank of America has said we have not missed a payment and right now there are no loan programs/modifications that we would qualify for so my question is, should we attempt a short sale or foreclose?Minus the credit score repercussions, what else would we face with foreclosure? Would we owe the bank any money?If we could have a successful short sale, would we walk away free and clear? Or owe the bank?Thank you in advance for any advice.
