A friend asked me to help her find as much information on the foreclosure process as possible.Neither she nor I know more than the very basics.She owns a house for which she can no longer keep up with the mortgage payments.Before she goes to the bank or stops all payments what should she know?We understand her credit will be ruined.Does declaring bankruptcy help any?The house in question is not her primary residency on which she also has a mortgage.Can defaulting on one mortgage(not her home) cause "harm" with her home/residence mortgage?As might be obvious, I don't even known what questions to ask.Can anyone help with advice?Thanks so much.PS: I will now go on the Internet and see what I can find.
