Are my friends parents getting swindled by this...
...foreclosure attorney? they paid $3500 for them to sue the bank? and were told, they couldn't, now they're being told to pay $4000 for bankruptcy to stop foreclosure. He told me his parents want to keep the house and theyre upside down, the house is worth half of what they owe, so why didnt this attorney just begin with a loan modification to see if they qualified? I told him I think theyre getting swindled and to go see a reputable real estate agent, he should have the right resources available for them. What do you guys think? or could it be greed from the parents just to buy time and prolong the whole process.
