Default Can I save the home from Foreclosure?

Just found out that a home that was left to us after a death is going into foreclosure tomorrow (I guess it gets put in the local paper for the first time) Can I save the property by paying the back unpaid mortgage payments. What is the statutory right of redemption in Michigan. This may seem like a silly question but there is not much owed on the home....and the home/property is worth a lot more than what the bank is owed and they would have no problem getting there money back...I have also heard from some friends that the bank want the property....as they see it as an asset that a higher ranked employee wishes to buy for a reduced amount? Thoughts...I have a meeting today with the bank because they will not return my calls and when I turned up today they would not see me until later??Title is in our name, but the mortgage is still in deceased name...the plan was/is to change it over to our name...that's why I am meeting with the bank
