Default lawyer attorney to help home modification stop...

...foreclosure any suggestions illinois? I was just served papers today, not sure what the heck they mean, but after the initial shock is over I will read through it. I have been receiving letters from supposed attorneys saying they can help with a home modification. Not even sure if they are really lawyers. So my question is this, regardless if they can stop the foreclosure, because we plan on being caught up by our court date, or at least within 90 days from being served, but does anyone of a REAL lawyer in illinois or other state that is legit and can really help with loan modification? Anyone actually used someone that they can say is not a fake? Thank you!I have been in the process since last march, 2010, of 2 home modification programs. My lender just got back to me last week, after calling and writing them every 2 weeks. A whole year, so to the jackass who has something to say about stiffing the lender, maybe you should ask more questions and get facts before you run your mouth. I am not an idiot. I was not asking for your opinion on foreclosure, what I was asking was if anyone had a lawyer to recommend. And if I had been trying to "stiff" my lender, why would I be trying hard to save my home? LMAO! Remember, half a brain, it is because of these dumb azz mortgage companies that our economy is in the situation it is in now, so save your SAVE THE MORTGAGE COMPANY crap!I am NOT WAYYYYYYYY past due on my mortgage, which sucks, I will be 90 days on the 15th, which makes absolutely no sense, but again, I am not wanting a lawyer to help me save my house, just for when I get caught up to help with a home modification. So please, anDiane, no there is no sale date. Just papers to appear in court late july. Thank you
