Neighbor had access to foreclosure home that I...
...bought? My husband and I just bought a foreclosure as our first home and finished closing on it yesterday. When going there today our next door neighbor came by to say hello. Turns out he is an investor that bought the house next to us a long time ago as a foreclosure to fix up and then sell. He said we will have new neighbors in a few weeks and that he just sold it recently. He explained how a few months ago he was trying the buy the house we bought as well to fix up and sell but was never able to get it( I am assuming financially). Then after he said that he stated that he looked inside our house before( explaining the problems he noticed) and that he knew the combination for the lock on the door that the real estate company had in place on the door knob. I find it odd that he tells us this after we bought the house pretty much saying he had access to the house whenever he wanted. There was also appliances that were removed a few months ago according to the Realtor. I wouldn't doubt it if he took the appliances from our house and put them in his house to sell. What should I do about this? We just changed the locks on the doors today thinking that maybe he had a key to this house. My mom thinks I should say something about it to our realtor what he said about having access all this time to the house because of knowing the realtor's lock combination. Or should we just let this go and ignore him from now on?
