...stages of foreclosure? Can I legally just up and move out of my house before receiving foreclosure notice?

No one can stop you from moving out of your house, not even the bank. .,.

Yes you can, but check with your mortgage company first. Some mortgage companies will pay you for moving out if you leave the house in good shape.

yes you can--but notify your lender the property will be vacated, so they can see it when you leave, to see the condition, so if someone wrecks it after you leave, you don't get charged with it( I would also get pictures, and have some witness's in these pictures, in case something comes up down the road. Get a pic with the TV in the background, showing the date, to verify when the pics were recorded.) Also, there are home brokers around, if you have any equity left in your home, that have lists of buyers that will take your home and keep it out of bankruptcy, so your credit doesn't get dinged for the house

yes you can leave but also it will increase your liability to the lender, as he will be forced to find you to legally take over the property te sad part about forclosure is it leaves you will outstanding debt gaining more interest until the property is sold hopefully for more than you owe.
