Default Timeline for a foreclosure in...

...Massachusetts? We had our notice of default given last November. It gave us until 4-11 to pay what we owe. We have seen a lawyer and due to the rate going up significantly next year and every year after, we are going to let it go. The credit union refuses to do a forebearance and will only add a huge amount to our already high mortgage every month. How long is it taking right now in mass once the foreclosure notice is sent? There was an article on the front page of the paper last week saying up to a year. Im just nervous that we could have 30 days or it could be more. Will we be month to month not knowing when we must leave? We are sad about losing the house but my husband has had to work 3 jobs just to attempt to keep up. It will be a nice relief we hope.
