Default My house is in Foreclosure Illinois?

I receive only Social Security and my pension, yet my home needs drastic repairs and is upside down on the market value. I cannot afford the repairs needed to put it on the market. If I file bankruptcy in Illinois can the bank levy my Social Security and Pension Income? I have medical issues which prevents me from doing normal up keep of this home. I intend to move to an apartment. Will the bank take my Social Security and Pension if it is repossessed if they sell it as I am sure there will be money owing after a sheriff sale.
