Default is there a way to negotiate foreclosure fees?
I decided to try home modification and was advised not to pay my mortgage until the process was complete. Low and behold, the modification company went out of business and my house is to be foreclosed on January 21st if I don't make the payment in full plus the lawyer fees. Is there a way to get rid of the lawyer fees and just pay the missed mortgage monthly payments?
