Default Is a sublet still valid after a foreclosure?

I am subletting a room from a roommate. He is obviously not the owner. He has an agreement with the previous owner for him to sublet. The house was foreclosed a few weeks ago. Is the sublet still valid? IE can he collect rent from me, and evict me? Or can only the bank collect rent and evict me now?? I live in California. I've searched all over online, and I can't find this information. Thx!Also, the bank is offering a cash-for-keys. The guy Im subletting from says he can keep all the cash they give him, is that true? ThxMy question is if the sublet is still valid; or was is made null when the house was foreclosed since the agreement for him to sublet was with the previous landlord
