foreclosure? Suppose a family with several children (under 12) loses their house to foreclosure due to a change in income that no longer allows them to make the mortgage payments. How do parents break the news to the kids in a way they would understand? Do kids understand what a mortgage is?This doesn't apply to my family, but I was looking at real estate this past weekend, including a few foreclosed homes. I could tell that children lived there, based on the way some of the rooms were painted/decorated, and a few remaining small toys lying around. It breaks my heart.
