Default Do You Still Have To Pay Rent After Your

PLACE HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS UNDER FORECLOSURE ? The property has ,as far as WE know ,been under foreclosure for about 2 mos. The landlord and we agreed that we would not have to pay rent while this foreclosure was going on. So its now been about two and half months, and the owner (landlord), now all of the sudden wants rent since we are living here for free. We do not understand how he can do this, and if its legal or not. We don't know what to do!...PLEASE HELP!Im not sure if i mentioned this but he said not to pay rent. Then 2 months went by without rent and then he said its taking longer than expected so he then asked us to pay for next month. Is he STILL in the right? And no we did not get it in writing. So that means he will be living off of our rent even though he is not paying the bank?
