Usually after a home sells, sometimes banks or the reo department will offer the homeowner a small amount of money, usuallly 2-6k to walk away from the home within 2-6 weeks. All of that is negotiable and it is meant to keep the home intact and give the people moving out an incentive not to trash the place. This program is call cash for keys although it is not always offered
