Bank foreclosure eviction.. Throw out on...
...streets? My sister lives in CA. Her landlord told her last month that she has to be out by the end of the month. She has 5 children and there is no other place available for rent in the area she is in and nowhere open till august. She just got served eviction papers yesterday. How long can she stay before they lock up and seize everything and throw them out on the streets? Moving towns isn't an option her husband owes 1 more yr to the state for his job..

Confused, who's evicting her, the landlord or the bank? And why is she being evicted, non payment or due to the foreclosure?Either way.. She can fight for at least an additional month - so 2 months including the eviction month (possibly an additional 3 months because she has minor children - depends on the judge and her effort to find a new place)... But she has to take the landlord (or bank, whoever is evicting her) to court and will be held responsible to pay all rent while she is residing there... Very rarely does a judge throw a family on the street w/o at least a couple months to seek new residency especially if they are current on their rent... good luck
