Default If you have ever gone or are going...

...through foreclosure, can you read this? My husband and I are in a difficult time. We are losing our home. He lost his job and we fell behind. Then the mortgage company said hey we can help you. It was a trap. They tried to help with whats called a modification process. They lowered our payment and then boom months later they say sorry you actually don't qualify and you owe us the difference between what you have been paying and what the old payment was. The difference is 17,000.00 dollars. We DO NOT have this kind of money. I don't know how we ever got here. I am a good person and I work hard every week for not alot of money but ok money. We were fine until he lost his job. I am devasted. What is worse. I work in a professional financial job. Here is my question. What do I do when this hits the docket. Us Vs them. Everyone is going to read this and see it. How do I mentally deal with the whispers behind my back. I have been crying for days. I don't know what to do. I think most likely we will move out of state for a fresh start but until then what do I do if someone asks me " Are you losing your home?". We have never been bummy people. We are good hard working people who fell into a bad time, a REALLY bad time. Statistics say last month that 47% of the country is dealing with foreclosure. We are now part of those thousands of people. How do I deal with the emotional stress. I don't know if I can take it. Please respond with any kind advice or your thoughts if you have gone through this or are going through this and how to deal with it so I don't feel all alone. Thank you
