First off, I want to apologize in advance if I don't really have a good understanding of the situation, as I'm only fifteen. The house I'm in is currently in foreclosure, and will be sold in an auction on May 3rd. We are suppose to be out of the house by that date, but I heard from someone that we can sneak a few weeks, even months, until we actually have to get out. Can anyone confirm if this is true? It would be amazing if it were as we are not too prepared to move.I also heard that the bank pays you somewhere around $2,000 USD if the house is 100% clean when we move out. Is this true? Part of your question is called cash for keys, but I'm afraid you are way to far into the process for that. If I understand your question you have had a sale date, a hearing and an auction. Unless somebody knows something I don't any way to drag this out should have been done earlier in the process. The house has been sold and as far as the bank is concerned it's over. What could be done if the back owns the house is see if you can rent it from the bank, they may want an empty house.
