huge foreclosure/squatting/tennants rights question
los angeles, ca? I live in a 2 sided bungalow complex of which each side was bought sepreatly by the same landlord.he lost one side to foreclosure.then the bank that had the foreclosure, went bankrupt.so no one owns that side.the renters ave their$ in an escrow account till who ever owns it will collect.so here is my question. on the foreclosed side, one of the tennents has moved out.she has some stuff left that she is still coming to claim. in the meanwhile she is letting her uncle who is a drug addict stay there for a week.I have saved her texts saying that he is going to stay one week. none of us tennents paying and not, want him here and told her so. she claims that since no one owns her side that she moved out of, she can come and go when ever she pleases and have who ever she wants there when ever and for how ever long. do we have any rights? like the lease she had is no longer valid as there is no landlord.i know she doesnt have the back rent that could be collected by a new owner.do we have any rights? we all share 1 common gate entrance and community backyard. isnt her lease null and void if she moved out and no longer receives mail there and none of her stuff is there? After she hopefully is gone we all want to change the locks so no one can squat there. What are our rights?
