Default What options do you have when you are facing...

...foreclosure, losing all your assets and drowning in debt? I know this is a bleak outlook but I'm asking this on behalf of my parents... they are both of retirement age and are in a lot of financial trouble. They were hit by the bad housing market... they are facing losing both of their homes to foreclosure (one of which was an investment property they designed and built), have over $70K credit card debt in the US and in the UK. They don't know what to do and are under serious stress... a lawyer costs $2K + and they barely have enough money for food. They are being harrassed left, right and center by creditors and banks. What can they do to enjoy the rest of their lives without having to worry about debt any longer?Any constructive advice from knowledgable and experienced people most welcome - thank you in advance!
