even if i recently made a lease with a realtor? I was at home today and I had two gentlemen pay me a visit from the bank they stated they were at my house to change the locks they didn't want to get into further info so i left as is. So I did my research and found out that the townhouse I live in has been in foreclosure since May of this year. I was wondering can I get evicted from this residence even though I recently made a lease about two month ago?

If you had a lease prior to foreclosure, the bank or the new owner would have to honor it.Suggest you get in touch with whoever you dealt with to sign the lease and get an explanation. If the Realtor is not the owner they may not be aware of the foreclosure.If the Realtor is aware, this is a serious ethics violation.Regardless, you deserve some protection.
