home in VA. I am renting & my landlord is going thru foreclosure? HELP! I am renting a home in Virginia Beach. I received a notice in the mail that the home I am renting is in foreclosure and will be sold on November 20th, 2009. I called my landlord/property manager and they are telling me that the house is not going into foreclosure. How do I find out for sure? I have put my November rent money in escrow for the time being... I don't want to be in breach of my lease by not paying so I need to find out ASAP whether the house mortgage has been paid or not. How do I find out who the lender is???
