My landlord says it's ok and collecting my rent...
...even if he is in foreclosure.? What if he losses house. Are we evicted without any notice? Do I take his word and continue to pay 2000??

Hard question.you do have to pay him rent,it's the law.Too bad you have no say on whether it's used for mortgage.Would he tell you in time if house is foreclosed on?Will bank or mortgage company let you stay when they take house?Talk to him and ask if he will give you notice before it's foreclosed on in time to find another home.If you don't feel comfortable,move as soon as you can.
