...building is in foreclosure and your not on a lease? UPDATED? Our building is in foreclosure, and our landlord is not taking care of the place, also we are not on a lease and it states on the old lease that it is not renewable and that if occupancy is to continue, it must be written out between tenants and landlord. Also, the landlord did not notify us that the building was in foreclosure and according to wisconsin state law, that makes all leases null and void, which would cover the "month to month" term we would possibly fall in after the year lease is up. Any info would be great, thanks!That law I was referring to was Wis. Stats. 704.35(1)And like I said, it states on the lease papers that it is not renewable and expires on the last term date, and if occupancy is to continue that a written agreement needs to be made between landlord and tenant. There is no written anything. We have been given court summons copies from the county court about the foreclosure.
