Default Thinking of buying a foreclosure house that is...

...already gutted? The appraiser/inspector said the place is good to go. How much $/SF should I be looking at to finish the house? The kitchen is already in place, and everything else is gutted. Is $100 per SF to conservative?

Unfortunatly the only answer you are likely to get from people is "it depends on your area" and the truth is, it does. You are probably in the right ballpark though. Generally if you are in a highly developed area (large city) you will pay a lot more than people in rural areas. If electrical and/or plumbing work needs done, expect the cost to jump also. If it is just drywall and flooring, you won't have to pay as much. The only number I have is adding new square footage (so an addition) is over $200/sq ft in the area I live in (New England).
