if my home goes in foreclosure do i have to
file bankruptcy? Is that the only option out of this? My mortgage companys lawyer sent me a letter stating I have to be in court on Thursday for this. I mean I lost my house because I lost my job and I am still jobless to this day. Will this ever go away or do I have to file bankruptcy. I mean my house is all I have to file, that is my only debt. Please give me some advice.

Hold on. So your home is in foreclosure or it is going to be? If it is in, and has gone through and the bank sold it - then they would have to sue you for the difference. If you can't pay that, and it sounds like you can't, then that is the time to file bankruptcy not now. Don't file until you have record of the debt.
