We gave first, last and one months rent in security deposit when we moved in.I want to break the lease so that I can use my last month rent for this upcoming June payment but I dont want him to be able to come back and grab my security deposit on the basis that I broke the lease. The guy seems like the type of person it would be very difficult to collect even if I got a judgement against him. He did not even leave a physical address on the lease so I communicate with him via text messages. I would rather reduce the money he is into me for rather than battle him in court and then try to collect.
