Default Pre-foreclosure rental?

What does pre-foreclosure mean? And also when the ad says pre-foreclosure home for lease, what does that mean and what are the risks?

Pre-foreclosure is just that. The house is just about to be foreclosed on. I wouldnt rent a pre-foreclosed house. Renters tend to lose pretty much all of their rights in a foreclosure. I know the government is trying to do more to help renters but I still dont think that would be a good idea. I dont even think its a good thing to advertise that.
