I have a home that I moved out of 3 years ago. I have had renters off and on but still lose $700 a month on the mortgage payments when it is rented. I lose $1400 when it is not. With the tough times ahead in the economy and my job in the auto industry I have decided to let my house go back to the bank. Not happy about it but I need to look out for myself. Question I have is; What can I take from my second home? Can I take the appliances? Can I take the shed and or swing set? Can I take the Central Air Conditioner (my current house doesn't have one)?BTW - My new home is only in my wives name as we just got married 6 months ago. I talked with an attorney and they can't come after her stuff.The main thing I need to know is if it is illegal to take some or all of the things. I don't want to take what is not rightfully mine.
