...lawsuit will it show on my credit report? My mother took out a reverse mortgage in Florida and then passed away a little over 18 months ago. I was named as executor but the real estate market bottomed and the property lost all equity. I received a "summons of personal service on a natural person" stating a lawsuit has been filed against me. My name is listed with my brother & sister as heirs in the foreclosure of the mortgage. I did not sign any of the mortgage documents. Will this lawsuit show on my credit report or will it lower my score? I have lent money to the estate for the burial and to update the property while trying to sell, but a lawyer told me to let the mortgage company file the probate.
