Our landlord was renting to us and we found out by way of letter on our door that she had not paid the mortgage here in six months. They are beginning the foreclosure process on where we live, while she has another apartment somewhere else that she is living in. Because the house note is in her name, no one can give us any information on how long we have until we are forced to move out here and I need time to scrape up the money for a new deposit and rent. Is there a way to check somewhere to see when the foreclosure will be finalized? I can't talk to any attorney's or mortgage companies even though they know we are renting from her, they can't discuss it with us because we aren't on the house note.
