Default My neighbors Foreclosure, or Moving?

My neighbors bought their home about 5 years ago (approaching that mark). Recently the husband secured another job out of town (50 miles). The man says its TOO hard to commute the 50 miles daily and thus leaves his wife and children at home by themselves while he stays at his parents home during the week. About one month ago, the woman said they were going to put their home on the market. They needed to get out of it, because the commute her husband was making was putting too much strain on their marriage and family. She started to collect boxes to "declutter" the home. The strange thing is that the father is never home during the week. The family is hardly ever home on the weekends. This past week the entire family has been "gone". They have two small children in the local schools, so its a little strange that they are not going to school. All of a sudden this weekend, their home is opened up and they are putting loads of boxes in their cars. They take them away, and come back with more boxes being loaded out. They dismantled the kids swing set in the backyard and cleared out everything except a hose. Their garage is bare. They are sleeping in the home again, but have their cars backed up to the garage empty ready to take on more boxes. We had another foreclosure that occured on the block about a year ago, and the family told everyone they "wanted to move to a larger home" and then one weekend did the same thing. I may be "OFF" here and they are truely decluttering their home for sale, but it just seems WEIRD.I would NEVER declutter my home in that fashion, even if I was going to put it on the market. I certainly would live in my home.I fear another foreclosure, but what do you think?

I think that you have too much time to observe your neighbors. If they were your friends, you would already know what is going on. Since you don't, I can only surmise that you are being nosy.

I think it really is not your business, but if you are that nosy about it, foreclosures are a matter of public record at the courthouse.

Why do you care so much? It's really none of your business what's going on in your neighbors' lives and you have way too much time on your hands. Much of the country is going through foreclosure right now so it's really not a huge deal. Get over it, stop worrying about it, and get used to it, there's going to be a lot more of that going on.

If there has been no sign in the yard foreclosure is a possibility. But then again you seem very concerned with someone else's business. I guarantee a few more foreclosures in your neighborhood before the housing market comes back. So relax and take solace in the fact that your home is secure.

I think you should stop snooping on your neighbours and get a life of your own.
