Default foreclosure inspectors?

Mortgage companies hire peope to do "drive past" inspections on homes that are behind on mortgage and potentially going into foreclosure. They do this to see the condition of the house, if it is abandoned or lived in.. Does anyone know what this job is officially called?Tammy T....we are behind on our mortgage and are catching up but I found out that the mortgage company is doing drivebys using a third party to visually inspect the house. We are being charged a fee everytime they do this. Do you still think it is the same thing. Thanks, Tina
