I owner financed just my land with no home on it. I made 6 months of payments and then purchased a modular home and the mortgage co. would not finance the modular home separately. I was forced to finance my land and modular home together. At the time of purchase my income was considerably higher than it is now. I was supporting my mother, my sister and her two children and assumed much of there financial burden. I lost my job and living in a small town where good paying jobs are limited, I had to take a job making approximately two-thirds less than what I was making before. To date I am three months behind owing approximately $2,389.50. My mother, sister and two nieces have changed residence and I no longer have that financial burden. My monthly expenses excluding food and fuel is approximately $1145.50. My net income is $1459.80 leaving only $314 for food and fuel. My mortgage co. (Vanderbilt Mort. in Maryville, TN) is unwilling to work with me. My desire is to remain in my home and avoid bankruptcy or foreclosure at all costs. I am not asking for a handout or for someone to pay debts. I realize my responsibilities and I am requesting assistance in meeting my financial obligations. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
