Default What does "Judgement of foreclosure & sale (for

motion hearing)" mean? ? I am renting a home that is going into foreclosure. I live in Cook County, Illinois and I have pulled the case information online but I do not understand what some of the court date descriptions mean. There is one set for tomorrow that states: Judgment of Foreclosure & Sale (Set For Motion Hearing). Does anybody know what this means? I tried googling it and I think it means that the jude will decide a date of when the property goes to auction. If so, does it go to auction within a few weeks or months? I am just trying to keep track of what is going on so that I can know when I should start moving.

Call the Clerk of the Court and ask. They know and they'll usually tell you.
