...foreclosure? My chapter 7 bankruptcy will be 2 years out Feb next year. Because my home had started into foreclosure before the bankruptcy they count the bankruptcy as a foreclosure according to at least one mortgage guy. He had said at least 3 years out but that was several months ago and the economy keeps getting more wacko. What can a person do? I'm tired of renting and need to know basic guidlines for a home loan in this situation. Down payment amount needed, length of time to wait, score needed(currently 637 so in the OK range) etc.

Your bankruptcy doesn't count as a foreclosure, your foreclosure counts a foreclosure.
