I am interested in buying my first house, but I came across a word that I'm not to familiar with PRE-FORECLOSURES. I know that pre means before, but what does PRE-FORECLOSURES actually mean?

Pre-Foreclosure means they are behind on their mortgage, but have not yet been served with the foreclosure papers. It's coming, just hasn't hit that foreclosure phase yet.
