I am $60k upside down, I have to move for my job. I just lost all my savings to my divorce and I have no assests thanks to divorce. My payment is $1500/month, not counting taxes and insurance. I asked a real estate agent , and she said there is nothing higher than $850 rent in my sub division. I know it hurts my credit if I walk away, but I can put that money away every month to put down on a rental. I would save at least $600-$800 month, plus more money at my new job. Since I have nothing to my name, would you just walk away? It will take years to get my my investment back, by that time I could have my credit back. Just want some honest and real advice.
