[Short Sale Help]

This property started out as a rental property. My now ex-husband purchased several properties using other peoples credit with the promise to act as the property manager and pay the various mortgage companies. Well, if did do it! He embezzled close to $60,000 from various creditors. During all of this he also stopped making the mortgage payments on our own personal residence. The loan on this home was only in my name so he didn't care what it did to my credit. It has taken almost a year but I have been able to sell this home as a short sale. I have since moved into this home but am about 4, maybe 5 months, behind on the payments. Some of this is because of my ex-husband some of this is due to the loss of his income. I talked to the organization HOPE NOW to see if they could help me. They said they could and set my monthly payments for 3 months at $1600 a month. This was $200 more than what I was paying before and I still have to make payments on my second mortgage as well. HOPE NOW also told me that if I made my payments for at least 3 months then they would be able to negotiate perhaps a lower interest rate, move my adjustable rate mortgage to a fixed rate and take me off of an interest only. In general give me a conventional mortgage. Well, now I find out that that was all a lie. I was not supposed to make my first payment to ASC until the 15th of December. I received a letter from ASC stating that my first payment was going to be $3000.00. That was never told to me by the HOPE NOW organization. The letter also stated that at the end of the three months I would have to pay everything that I was behind. I can't do that. I don't have that kind of money and I have already taken out one loan against my 401(k) so I can't take out another. I have now received a letter stating that I broke my agreement to them and so they will not work with me. I do not want to lose this house. I have suffered so much in the last year. I lost my mother very suddenly and unexpectedly. My ex-husband stole money from people and through our rental houses in foreclosures and he left me with such significant debt that my only way out will be to file bankruptcy. I have move my daughter and son-in-law in with me and they are contributing to the household but not greatly as they both don't have great jobs because of the economy. I just want a second chance. I just want someone to help me. I am a good person. I paid my bills on time. I used to have good credit before my ex-husband financially ruined me. I am not a deadbeat. I have held my job with the Department of Defense for 25 years. I just want someone to take a chance on me and give me a second chance. I am worth it. I don't want to lose this house. I just want to start over. PLEASE HELP ME! My situation has changed dramatically. I lost my now ex-husbands income but have moved my daughter and son-in-law in with me to help with the finances. While it isn't the income my ex-husband made it helps a little. Also, I am due for a pay increase in July 2009. This will improve my situation dramatically. Also, as soon as my bankruptcy is discharged I would not be opposed to getting a second job to do whatever it takes to keep me in this house. The first mortgage is with ASC (America's Servicing Company) and the second is with SLS (Specialized Loan Servicing). I find that ASC is probably the worst company to try and work with.
