My fiance and I both lost our jobs in Michigan we had never been late on a mortgage payment before. When we lost our jobs we could not afford to make payments and keep them current. We could not find work in Michigan and we were struggling to put food on the table for our two children. We were forced to move out of state to find work in Texas. We both took pay cuts and we cannot afford to make payments on our property and pay for the current roof over our head in Texas. I am very scared of losing my home and having to pay the money back that is owed on the house. Please help. We fell behind due to unemployment. We are both employed but living in a different state. We cannot afford the mortgage and pay our current rent right now.
