ok - I am finally back but am totally frustrated! how can I get a list of foreclosures or pre-foreclosures? in my area before all of the realtors?! what trick do I have to know? this is driving me crazy. I have contacted a realtor about some foreclosures, all of them are already under contract. How do I get the inside scoop so I can beat them to it?

Search your public records for lis pendens filed. Most counties have public records available online, but if your county does not, go to the recording department and search there. Most recording departments are happy to help you get started.
