What are the chances of getting a loan modification
through Saxon Mortgage even though I am current on my loan? I am current on my mortgage and I have never missed a payment. I have read that If I am behind the lender is more willing to work with me. Are those loan modification companies offering to assit with your loan modification legit?

Legit modification companies
If they are legit they would not be making promises. There is no way to know what options are available unless they know who the investor is and not making blanket statements.

Its easy do it yourself, I asked a rep at Saxon if the companies getting paid to do loan mods were getting expedited service, and the reply is "they are not". Its better to do your own, just document everytime you call, which I recommend weekly. Also mail your loan mod app instead of fax. So many applications are getting faxed in the chances of stuff getting lost is high.
