Bought home as a 2nd home to keep ex-brother in law from foreclosure in 2006. Ex-wife talked me into it and also talked me into keeping the property when divorced. As soon as divorce was final, no payments were from brother in law. He moved out two weeks ago and left the home in shambles including the inground pool. Bank of America told me if I could get it leased, there would be a chance to save the property. I got it leased for 900.00/month and they are fixing up the property, now Bank of America says they have no programs for Leased Property. I have been talking to them for over a year and they gave me hope to keep the property, then said nothing they can do.
Ex brother in law quit paying the rent. He was paying 1500.00/month. He bought another home cheaper and a few streets over. My ex and I purchased the home for $263,000 and it is worth about $84,000 now!!! The people living it it are fixing it up beautiful and I would hate to tell them that they have to move. There has been no Sale Date set and I have been in contact with the bank weekly.
