We have worked many foreclosure deals with Countrywide and have had great success. The only issue is when you speak with the phone team with Countrywide they take financials and in many instances there are no reccomendations and the deal is dead inthe water. We can show you how get your financials in order to get referred to HEART or other loss mitigation departments in Countrywide. There seems to be a misconception about who the HEART Team is so to set the record straight they are a third party company that helps Countrywide track packages. Once a workout is complete it is mailed out and the documents refer the homeowner to speak with HEART. HEART has the details of the workout and take calls and document when packages are back. The detials of the workout are not in the Countrywide system the information is passed to HEART to go over details. It makes a more efficient process for Countrywide because they do not spend time speaking with homeowners and do not have to track packages that have been sent out. My mortage raised and at that time I was only bringing home 700 every two weeks and I could not juggle the payments. I called to seek help but never got a response back. I went to a local agency and the lady just push my case aside. But now I am making much more money and will be able to handle the mortage.

Spent savings to save my mother’s home then I lost my job. Got another job but still payed for mother’s house because she got laid off. Situation put me a year behind on my own mortgage but I thought I could file bankruptcy (ch.13) and pay back. Then got audited by the IRS, child support payments went up and mortgage rate adjusted to $300 more monthly. Bankruptcy payment adjusted beyond what I could pay monthly so it got dismissed 2 weeks ago. I owe $169,000 on the house. It last appraised for $195,000 in 2007. Countrywide mortgage company. I can move my brother in with me in November ($300/month more) and I get a salary increase in January 2009 (7% or $350/month more).
